D.L. Hughley Uses ‘Gold Digger’ Lyrics To Troll Kanye West After He Settles Kim Kardashian Divorce
D.L. Hughley has yet to reconcile with Kanye West. After learning of the rapper’s divorce settlement with Kim Kardashian, the comedian mocked him with lyrics from his song “Gold Digger.”
The 59-year-old used Instagram to share a screenshot of an article about the settlement. He titled it, “YIKES when (your) life imitates (your) art. ‘If you ain’t no punk, holla, ‘We want prenup!’, yeah It’s something you need to have. ‘Because when she leaves yo’ a**, she’s going to leave with half…'”
On Tuesday, November 29, Ye and Kim’s divorce agreement was made public. According to court documents, the former couple will be granted joint custody with “equal access” to their four children, 9-year-old North, 6-year-old Saint, 4-year-old Chicago, and 3-year-old Psalm. According to TMZ, the SKIMS founder will continue to have their children 80 percent of the time.
The agreement also calls for the Yeezy designer to pay the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” alum $200,000 in child support each month. He will also be responsible for half of their educational costs, including tuition and security.
According to the settlement, if the now-exes ever disagree about any of their four children, they must go to mediation. If one of them does not participate, the other becomes the decision maker.
In terms of real estate, the division of assets is consistent with Kanye and Kim’s prenuptial agreement. Both the Yeezy designer and the SKIMS founder have agreed to forego spousal support.
The feud between Ye and D.L. Hughley began in March, when the latter commented on his split from Kim. “I’m a real person who wants the best for my children, and DL Hughley is a pawn in this game. Yeah, I know a king shouldn’t address a pawn, but I address everything and find addresses DL. So don’t say anything about me or my children because I can afford to hurt you “At the time, the emcee declared.
Despite Ye’s threats, the comedian remained unfazed.
“Hmmm! Isn’t it strange that #Kanye allegedly has all these goons who will kill for him, but none of them will fill his prescriptions? “He retaliated. “While you’re on your way to kill me in Calabasas, how about stopping by CVS and picking up his Xanax? Laughter #TeamDl”
“There’s no way in hell I’d be scared of a dude wearing #IKnowWhatDidLastSummerBoots!!! #TeamDl,” he says. D.L. Hughley went on. “#Kanye!! It’s just a shame that you acting like a nut isn’t going to stop #Pete from busting one!! #TeamDl.”
